STEM Fest Miami to Bring Transformational STEM Experiences to Underserved Youth

Miami, Florida — STEMFest Miami is coming to the Overtown Optimist Club on February 28, 2026. Hosted by QCares, brought to you by QPSI, and in partnership with STEM NOLA and the Optimist Club of Miami, STEMFest Miami will deliver immersive, hands on STEM experiences to youth and families across South Florida, with a strong focus on underserved communities.

STEMFest Miami is designed to open doors. Through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics activities, students will build, experiment, and engage with real world STEM applications that spark curiosity and expand what they believe is possible for their future.

Building on the Impact of STEM Fest Camden

The launch of STEMFest Miami follows the powerful success of STEMFest Camden, where QCares witnessed firsthand how access to STEM experiences can change lives. In Camden, hundreds of students and families participated in interactive activities that strengthened confidence, introduced new career possibilities, and energized the community.

That impact is now being brought to Miami.

“When students are given hands on exposure to STEM, it changes how they see themselves,” said Lee Jones of QPSI and QCares. “STEMFest Miami is about creating that moment of possibility for youth who may not otherwise have access.”

Access is not equal. Many students in underserved neighborhoods lack consistent exposure to STEM education, mentors, and real world learning environments. STEMFest Miami was intentionally designed to close that gap.
